Classifying the Five Main Types of Altra Lubricants
Working at Allegheny Petroleum in the beginning of my graduate program, I utilized the company's need for educational materials and created this instructional product for new employees. It introduces the main types of lubricants that the company sells and teaches their unique nomenclature for naming Altra products.

Graphics Application in Education and Training
Tanning Bed Safety
As the first assignment for IDT 530, this one page instructional document served as simple practice for using Adobe InDesign. I used various shapes, rectangle frames, and photos, and practiced editing styles by adjusting opacity or alignment.

Lubricant User's Reference Guide
This assignment was to create a 6-page instructional handout based on any topic of our choice. As a sales rep at Allegheny Petroleum at the time, I created a handout that could be given to new customers that details the aspects of our lubrication program and contains crucial reference guides for any lubricant user. I used Photoshop and Autodesk sketchbook to create the jar, oil drip and order form graphics, and InDesign to create the 6 page product.

Why do we need lubricants?
This simple animation is intended for individuals who are new to the petroleum products industry. The simple analogy of a slip 'n slide illustrates the incredible lubricity that oil provides between two surfaces. This demonstrates a reduction of friction compared to other scenarios without the use of a lubricant.

Oxidation & Base Number of NGEO Samples
Learning to use Tableau was one of the last modules for IDT 530 and students were to create a data visualization of their choice. I continued my topic of oils and lubricants to create charts for oxidation and base number of Natural Gas Engine Oil samples.

For the infographic assignment, I chose to create a reference sheet for Allegheny Petroleum sales reps to use when placing orders for customers. I used Illustrator to create the truck and container graphics, as well as the 1 page product.

Allegheny Petroleum had recently created an online ordering system and I was one of the first to learn it. Others in the company needed trained on the new system, so I spent the semester planning a curriculum and recording demo videos and voiceovers to create a Captivate training program with videos and quizzes that test learners' progress.

Instructional Simulations & Gaming
The 2%
Roblox is a gaming platform where users can not only play games but create them as well. Creating a game involves 3-D modeling and scripting, and I took this course to practice my 3-D modeling skills and learn how a game can be used for instruction. I made a game called "The 2%" that teaches users about the journey of a T-cell in the human lymphatic system.
